Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones (if any) we use on tableturn.co.uk, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains more generally how we handle your personal data.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website can place on your device to remember information about you or your visit, such as your preferences or how you use the site. "Similar technologies" covers related tools like local storage, pixels, and tracking scripts that can achieve comparable things without necessarily being a cookie in the strict sense.
Under UK data protection law and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), we generally need your consent before storing or accessing non-essential cookies or similar technologies on your device.
Cookies we currently use
We keep this deliberately simple. TableTurn does not currently use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party marketing scripts. The only tools we use are listed below, and both are built to work without setting cookies or storing a persistent identifier on your device:

Because nothing on this list stores a tracking cookie, we don't currently show a cookie consent banner. If that changes in future - for example if we add advertising, embedded video, or a live chat widget that sets its own cookies - we will update this policy and add a consent banner before those cookies are set.

If we do introduce cookies in future, they would typically fall into one of these categories:
Strictly necessary
Required for the website to function - for example, remembering that you submitted a form. These don't require consent under PECR, but we will always tell you about them here if we use them.
Performance and analytics
Help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. As above, our current analytics tools don't use cookies for this.
Functional
Remember choices you've made (like a saved location or preference) to give you a more personalised experience. We don't currently use any.
Targeting and advertising
Used to build a profile of your interests and show relevant adverts elsewhere. We don't currently use any.
How to control cookies
Most browsers let you see, manage, and delete cookies through their settings. You can usually find these under "Settings" → "Privacy" in your browser. Blocking all cookies may affect the functionality of some websites, though it should not affect the core functionality of tableturn.co.uk given the limited tools we currently use.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page whenever what we actually use changes. Significant changes - like introducing advertising or tracking cookies for the first time - will come with an on-site notice and a consent banner where required by law.
